Besides scoville reservoir in CT this is the only place ive hooked a bowfin since i was 7 years old. it was back in '06. this has been reported to be a known bowfin breeding site within the CT River from data i have gathered from people who have fished tournaments over here and caught males sporting the bright turquoise mouth and belly colors. the cove is ideal habitat for bowfin and carp..slow moving shallow and in the summer, very warm and muddy. its no suprise they breed here.
