Crescent Lake Description
Crescent Lake (aka Plainville Reservoir) is on the Plainville-Southington town line, and can be accessed from Ledge Rd. Parking lot entrance is on Shuttle Meadow Rd. (GPS Address = 495 Shuttle Meadow Rd., Southington 06489).
The Lake is open to the public; no residency requirements. State-mandated licenses for fishing and/or boating are required. Fishing in front of the boat ramp is prohibited.
Many large fish in this lake, as it was once a protected reservoir. Best luck with live bait - minnows and fish deep, especially late in the season.
